The Workshop from Friday, October 23, 2020, 11 am – 12:30 pm can be viewed at this link
As a result of the COVID-19 emergency, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is holding two virtual public workshops through video and teleconference for the Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) Environmental Assessment (EA). The FAA is conducting the workshops virtually to avoid a public gathering and protect public health in accordance with guidelines published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). There will not be a physical place where the public can go in-person to speak or ask questions. The FAA will be using the video conferencing service, Zoom, to host two workshops and allow for remote public participation. You can register and participate in the workshop at this website and the workshops also will livestream on the FAA’s Youtube and Facebook pages. The sessions will be recorded and available for public viewing at this website. The workshops will include representatives from FAA, air traffic control and technical specialists.

Submitting Questions for the Workshop
The FAA encourages for all participants to use the virtual public workshops as a time to ask questions on the Boston Logan Draft Environmental Assessment. During the workshops, the FAA will be accepting questions submitted through the Q&A function in Zoom. To do so, please click the Q&A icon in the webinar controls at the bottom of the Zoom window to open the Q&A window.
If participants are viewing the workshops via Youtube or Facebook, questions may be asked in the comments section below each live stream. Participants may also submit questions during the public workshop by texting the questions to 617-237-0734. Questions will be compiled and read aloud by the meeting moderator for all participants to hear.
The purpose of the workshops is to provide information about the FAA’s Environmental Assessment (EA) and attempt to answer questions from the public about the EA. However, questions and answers about the EA during the workshops will not be included as a part of the EA, and public comments on the EA will not otherwise be taken during workshops. Formal comments on the EA must be submitted through the three comment methods described below and on the Comment tab of this website.
The FAA opened a 60-day public comment period which began on Sept. 21 and ends on Nov. 20, 2020. We welcome you to submit a comment by clicking “Submit a Comment” on the Comment tab on this website. The link will direct you to a comment form where you can provide any and all comments or ask questions about any aspect of the environmental document.
